WMSClient
WMSClient is a plug-in for MapInfo Professional® that allows MapInfo
Professional users to seamlessly integrate spatial information
from a variety of free and subscription based WMS services.
WMSClient has been built to
conform to the OpenGIS Consortium’s Web Mapping Service (WMS)
specification and is currently compatible with MapInfo Professional v6.0 - 7.0. It provides those users
who are unable or unwilling to upgrade to the newest version of
MapInfo Professional, the capability to obtain and use spatial
data from a wealth of sources around the world.

WMSClient gives you free access to:
- Aerial
Imagery - black and white USGS Digital
Orthophoto Quadrangles (DOQs) made
available on Microsoft’s TerraServer web service as well as
full color imagery provided by commercial services can be
downloaded, viewed and printed directly from MapInfo Professional.
- Earth
Sciences Information - information can be obtained on
topography, bathymetry, temperature & precipitation,
visible & infrared satellite imagery, NEXRAD radar
composites, watersheds, and much more.
- Topographical
Maps - USGS Digital Raster Graphics (DRGs)
– more commonly known as USGS Topo Quads – can be obtained
from Microsoft’s TerraServer service as well.
- Satellite
Imagery - The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) currently
provides Landsat 7 multi-spectral satellite imagery.
